The construction industry in Australia is currently experiencing significant challenges in Below Ground structures due to the absence of comprehensive codes and standards that address this type of construction. This has resulted in varying interpretations by different professionals when it comes to designing waterproofing systems below ground, based on their individual knowledge and understanding.
Baleh Consulting Pty Ltd have taken the lead in specialising in Below Ground waterproofing, utilising their expertise, skills, and knowledge in Concrete waterproofing, Concrete technology, structural engineering, water dynamics, soil types and how they affect the structure and waterproofing systems, as well as the impact of chemicals and gases commonly found in soil and water on the structure and waterproofing systems.
Our Vision is:
- To establish ourselves as the go-to experts for all Below Ground Waterproofing and remedial designs and consultations on a national level.
- To collaborate with Standards Australia in developing the Australian Standard for Below Ground Waterproofing, a crucial step forward.
- To work closely with the Australian Building Codes Board (ABCB) in incorporating regulations for Below Ground Waterproofing in the 2028 version of the National Construction Code (NCC).
- By 2030, share Australian expertise in Below Ground Waterproofing on a global scale by participating as guest speakers at various national and international conferences and events.
