Description
This mixed used development in Azazga, Wilaya of Tizi-Ouzou, Algeria, comprises 5 commercial units on the ground floor, a three-level residential units, and a two-level basement carpark and and storage facilities.
Baleh Consulting operate nationally and internationally, providing specialist waterproofing, concrete and building performance consulting across complex projects. For this development, we undertook a comprehensive review of the architectural, structural and civil engineering designs, providing significant recommendations to improve the building’s performance, durability and constructability.
We designed a comprehensive drainage and waterproofing system covering the basements through to the rooftop, including wall insulation, wall cavity flashing and window sill water-shedding details.
The design adopted relevant Australian and European standards and best-practice principles, while also ensuring compliance with applicable local Algerian regulations and requirements.
Throughout construction, Baleh Consulting conducted multiple site inspections and provided practical training to the construction personnel, both in person and through online sessions, supporting the correct implementation of the design and maintaining the required quality of workmanship.
